Stokes Named Investment Executive for Highlands Union Financial Services


Alex Stokes, a ten-year veteran of the financial industry, is the new investment executive for the Sevierville and Knoxville, Tenn., branches of Highlands Union Bank.

Stokes will serve as financial planner for Highlands Union Financial Services, and will assist clients in Knox and Sevier counties. He is also responsible for retirement, education, estate and general financial planning, as well as risk management and brokerage services for HUB customers in Knox, Sevier, Blount and Anderson counties of East Tennessee.

“Alex’s well-rounded experience includes excellent organization skills, attention to detail and strategic planning,” says Highlands Union Bank CEO Sam Neese. “He fully understands HUB’s client-focused approach, and our customers will appreciate having someone with his expertise to guide their financial planning.”

A native of Sevierville, Stokes holds a bachelor’s degree and Financial Planning Series Certificate from the University of Tennessee. He is also licensed in life and health insurance, property and casualty insurance, variable contracts and other financial areas. For the past four years, Stokes served as a department manager and principal broker with TN Bank/Linsco Private Ledger in Oak Ridge, Tenn. Prior to that, he served as investment executive with Union Planters Bank and as personal financial advisor with American Express.

“I am excited about working with the Highlands Union team and getting to know our customers on a personal basis,” Stokes says. “My goal is to assist HUB in providing the best comprehensive financial services in the Sevierville and Knoxville area.”

In his spare time, Stokes volunteers with the United Way and enjoys basketball and collecting books. He and his wife, Kasey, and their two children reside in Knoxville.
